Meet JOANNA DOVEN
I’m the Executive Director of the AI Strike Team, the nation's first effort to position a metro area to lead in the new AI economy. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, the world's #1 AI school, I have a crisis communications background and excel at creating out-of-the-box pivoting strategies. In 2013, I founded Premo Consultants, helping prominent companies and real estate developers generate game-changing ideas, secure record government funding, form strategic partnerships, and gain national media exposure.
My strategic leadership in AI development helped reshape Pittsburgh's real estate landscape, particularly through my work with Walnut Capital on the 34-acre Bakery Square development and my crucial role in creating Pittsburgh's AI Avenue Corridor, bringing together stakeholders including Carnegie Mellon, Duolingo, and Google. I organized the inaugural AI Horizons Summit, helped secure Pittsburgh as Nvidia's first "AI Tech Community," and as a partner in an AI Factory development in Beaver County, I work to transform defunct steel sites into AI factories to drive regional economic growth. Bruce Katz and I continue to highlight Pittsburgh's strategic advantages in the AI economy.

Proven in Pittsburgh using the region's natural gas reserves and skilled workforce.
